Since 2012, we’ve spent time in the D.C., Maryland, and Virginia communities engaging and working with Filipina women and their families who share common struggles. As a newly formed chapter organization of GABRIELA USA, we have addressed issues affecting our day-to-day lives such as immigration reform, violence against women, and advocating an end to modern-day slavery. We also tackled issues our families are facing back home – SONA Philippines, Pork Barrell, forced migration, militarization etc. As we continue to fight for justice, human rights, and true liberation for all, let’s continue to build and empower communities to advance the struggle for all Filipina womyn worldwide.

    Thanks,
